1. Aged 55 or below at the time of application submission
2. Hold valid Construction Workers Registration Card when submitting application, taking trade test and receiving award (if applicable)
3. Must obtain Skilled Worker/Semi-skilled Worker qualification(s) by taking trade test(s) and / or other applicable tests between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2026 (both dates inclusive) 
4. Not enrolled or participated in any CIC allowance or cash prize bearing courses, trade test related courses and / or schemes and not ever received allowance and / or cash prizes on or after 1 January 2025

1. Each eligible applicant can only be awarded ONCE (regardless the no. of trades obtained)
2. Applicants shall obtain first time Skilled Worker/Semi-skilled Worker qualification(s) by taking trade test(s), intermediate trade tests and / or other applicable tests between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2026 (both dates inclusive) (for applicant(s) who fail trade test(s), he/she will be disqualified and replaced by the subsequent eligible applicant)
3. Award will be given in accordance with the chronological order of the trade test application and test dates by the Scheme applicants.  CIC reserves the right of final decision on the eligibility and awardee list
4. The eligibility screening and selection process of this Scheme shall be based solely on the applicant’s trade test result as the only assessment criterion. Other types of licences or qualifications (including but not limited to driving licences or other related licences) will not be included in the scope of assessment of this Scheme and will not be taken into account in any form.
5. If the CIC determines a particular application as ineligible, the concerned applicant if re-submit application, shall follow the order of application submission.
6. CIC has sole discretion at all times to reserve the right to determine awardees, terminate the Scheme or withdraw any awards

• CIC Certificate of Appreciation and
• Registered General Workers pass Trade Test and obtain the Skilled Worker qualification: cash Prize at HK$5,000; or
• Registered General Workers pass Intermediate Trade Test and obtain the Semi-skilled Worker qualification: cash Prize at HK$3,500; or
• Registered Semi-skilled Workers pass Trade Test and obtain the Skilled Worker qualification: cash Prize at HK$3,500

• If an applicant has successfully registered for participation in the Scheme but has not registered for any trade test within the current year, the Secretariat will, within approximately one month, issue a designated application form to eligible applicants for completion and processing of the trade test fee waiver. Quotas are limited and will be allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
• Each applicant is only eligible for a one‑time trade test fee waiver within the current year.
• Applicants are required to submit the relevant supporting documents. Late submissions or applications with incomplete information will not be processed.
• Under no circumstances will the Scheme handle refund applications if the applicant has paid the trade test fee on his/her own initiative.
• Results will be announced by batches. The awardees will be notified via mail and email
• Awardees must attend the award presentation ceremony and/or other activities related to the Scheme and agree to the use and/or publication of application details, photographs, audios and videos (with or without modifications) submitted for the purposes of publicity and promotion by CIC. Awardees who refuse to fulfil the above requirements will be disqualified
• Stay vigilant against scams: be cautious of unexpected calls and messages, as they may be attempts by scammers impersonating the CIC or other familiarized organizations. You NEVER disclose your personal data for instance name, date of birth, HKID number, worker registration number, email address, correspondence address…etc. Messages from the CIC will be sent with a sender name starting with "#" and indicating a registered sender as "#CIC"
