1. Aged 55 or below at the time of application submission
2. Registered as General Worker/Semi-skilled Worker on or before 1 December 2022
3. Holding valid Construction Workers Registration Cards at the time of application submission, attending trade test(s) until awarded (if applicable)
4. Registered General Workers not attaining/holding any qualification(s) from Trade Test, Intermediate Trade Test and/or Certification Tests for Machineries and Cranes Operation on or before 1 December 2022
5. Registered Semi-skilled Workers not attaining/holding any qualification(s) from Trade Test and/or Certification Tests for Machineries and Cranes Operation on or before 1 December 2022
6. The application of the trade tests below must be made on or after 1 December 2022. CIC trade test enrolment record shall prevail (Apply for Trade Test(s)):

7. Applicants must obtain Skilled Worker/Semi-skilled Worker qualification(s) by conducting trade test(s). Qualifications obtained through ‘Certificate of Registration’ for different grades could not fulfill the Scheme requirements
8. Not admitted in or graduated from any full-time courses, collaborative training schemes or programmes/schemes with student allowances organised by the CIC or Hong Kong Institute of Construction on or after 1 January 2022

1. There will be 3,000 awardees. Each eligible applicant can only be awarded ONCE (regardless the no. of trades obtained)
2. Applicants who pass the trade test(s) for the period since 1 December 2022, and update their qualification on their Construction Workers Registration Card will be awarded (for applicant(s) who fail to pass the trade test(s), he/she will be disqualified and replaced by the subsequent eligible application(s) based on the enrolment sequence of this Scheme)
3. If there are applicants submitting applications simultaneously, the priority will be given to the persons with earlier trade test application date. CIC reserves the right of final decision on the eligibility and awardee list.
4. For applications rejected by the CIC due to any reason(s), that applicant shall submit a new application afresh (i.e. the order of the initial/previous application cannot be reserved)
5. CIC reserves the right of final decision at any time on the judging criteria, termination of the Scheme and withdrawal of awards

• Registered General Workers pass a designated Trade Test and obtain the Skilled Worker qualification: cash Prize at HK$5,000
• Registered General Workers pass a designated Intermediate Trade Test and obtain the Semi-skilled Worker qualification: cash Prize at HK$3,500
• Registered Semi-skilled Workers pass a designated Trade Test and obtain the Skilled Worker qualification: cash Prize at HK$3,500

• Results will be announced by batches. The first batch of awardees will be announced in March 2024 via mail and email
• Awardees must attend the award presentation ceremony and/or other activities related to the Scheme and agree to the use and/or publication of application details, photographs, audios and videos (with or without modifications) submitted for the purposes of publicity and promotion by CIC. Awardees who refuse to fulfil the above requirements will be disqualified
